Penson has purchased an additional insurance policy through a group of London Underwriters (with Lloyd's of London Syndicates as the Lead Underwriter) to supplement SIPC protection. This additional insurance policy becomes available to customers in the event that SIPC limits are exhausted and provides protection for securities and cash up to an aggregate of $600 million. This is provided to pay amounts in addition to those returned in a SIPC liquidation. This additional insurance policy is limited to a combined return to any customer from a Trustee, SIPC and London Underwriters of $150 million, including cash of up to $2.15 million. Similar to SIPC protection, this additional insurance does not protect against a loss in the market value of securities.

GAIN Securities offers a variety of security features to protect your account.
If there are three failed attempts to login to your account, your user ID will be locked and no one will be able to access the account until you call us directly. In addition, we will prompt you periodically to reset your password.
We also provide you with a transaction password that offers an extra layer of protection against fraud in case your login credentials are compromised. You will need to enter a unique password prior to submitting any online transaction-you can reset this password at any time by logging in to you account and going to the Preferences page (located under Support).
If you haven't previously used the site, register your account by following these steps:

- Fill in the required information. Note: Be sure to have your account number handy.

The minimum required deposit to open an account at GAIN Securities is $500.
To check your application status, log in to your account using the User ID and password you created when you completed your application, then go to Application Status (located under Support) to see your status. Until your account status is complete, you will have basic (but limited) access to the website's tools and features. Please allow up to one full business day for your account application to be processed and for your status to be updated.
We accept checks made payable to "Penson Financial" and/or certificates by standard, certified or overnight mail. When depositing security certificates, please provide your account number and have all registered holders provide an original signature(s) either on the back of the certificate or on a Stock / Bond Power form. back to topTo transfer in funds from another brokerage account, you will need an established account with GAIN Securities that has matching title and registration information. Once you have your account established with us, you can quickly transfer cash and securities held at another financial institution into your GAIN Securities account. We simply need a completed copy of our transfer form and a recent account statement from your current firm, and we will take care of the rest.
